Our Mission
Berger Directory is a curated webring dedicated to preserving and celebrating the creative spirit of the early internet. We bring together websites that embrace Y2K aesthetics, retro web design, and the handmade feel that made the old web so special.
What is a Webring?
A webring is a collection of websites linked together in a circular structure. Each member site displays a badge that connects visitors to the next and previous sites in the ring, as well as back to this central directory. Webrings were one of the original ways people discovered new websites in the 90s and early 2000s.
Curation Philosophy
Every site in Berger Directory is hand-reviewed by our moderation team. We look for sites that demonstrate genuine creativity, a love for retro aesthetics, and a commitment to being part of the webring community. We don't accept every submission — quality and authenticity matter to us.
